Privacy Policy
Last updated November 6, 2026
Ujamaa Publishing respects your privacy. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
Contact and institutional inquiry forms. When you submit a form, we receive the information you enter (such as your name, email, organization and message) so we can reply. Forms are processed by our website host, Netlify.
Newsletters. If you subscribe to The Ujamaa Letter or Ujamaa Kids Club, we collect your email address, the newsletter you chose, and your consent. Sign-ups are stored with our website host, Netlify, and with our email service provider, which may send a confirmation email. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you through our contact page. We do not sell your information.
Information collected automatically
If site analytics are enabled, we use a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. It counts visits and actions such as article views and downloads. To tell new visits from returning ones, the site stores a first-visit date on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Purchases
Books are sold by outside retailers such as Amazon, Apple Books and Google Play. When you follow a retailer link, that retailer’s privacy policy applies. We do not receive your payment information.
Children’s privacy
Our children’s activities can be downloaded without providing any information. Ujamaa Kids Club and our forms are intended for adults (parents, caregivers and educators). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any newsletter using the link in each email, and you can ask us to access or delete information you have given us by using our contact page.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
